Raja Yoga Asana or
“The Yoga of Knowledge”
Encompasses meditation, pranayama (breath exercise), classical yoga postures, bhakti (devotional) yoga, and the 8 limbs of Yoga as given by Patanjali.
Practices release stagnant energy and raise vibration to experience a conscious awareness of the body’s connection to Praktruti or the Cosmic Self.
A class includes guided energy meditation, ujjayi breathing, emphasis on drishti and alignment, and a series of classical asana poses. The approach is to calm Vata dosha (the ether and air energies in us) balance Pitta (fire and water) and Kapha (water and earth), and maintains emphasis on alignment to develop a deep a practice for longevity.
Instruction given at parks, studios, or as home visits. Please leave an empty stomach an hour prior to session for optimal results and ease of comfort. Wear loose comfortable clothing or bring an extra pair.
