Ayurvedic Thai Yoga Bodywork

Ayurvedic Thai Yoga Bodywork originated in India from Jivaka Kumarbhaccha, an Ayurvedic doctor to the Buddha some 2,500 years ago.  It is a dynamic method of bodywork further developed from the Lotus Palm School in Montreal, CA.  It is performed on a mat on the floor; both client and practitioner are dressed in comfortable loose clothing allowing ease of movement and flexibility.

The practitioner guides the client through a series of yoga postures, palming and thumbing along the body’s energy (‘Sen’) lines and pressure points, marma point therapy, and utilization of the vayus or pranic winds.  Together these actions result in a customized comprehensive full body treatment that relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune system and balances the body energetically.
